Kun joins Argentina's 100 Club
Monday's match against Bolivia – a decisive 4-1 victory in the last game of Copa America's group stage – marked Sergio's 100th match for the national squad, making Agüero the 7th player with most games played in the Albiceleste's history. The game saw Kun shoot a fantastic assist towards Messi to score the 3rd goal, and allowed Argentina to seize the first place of their group. The squad will now face Ecuador on Saturday as they enter the quarterfinals round.
Sergio's first game for Argentina took place on September 2nd, 2006, as the team struggled to a 0-1 loss against Brazil in London – Agüero came in on the 21st minute of the 2nd half to replace Carlos Tevez. Kun's first game in the main squad - and his first goal! - came in against Bolivia of all teams: on November 17th, 2007. Argentina won that match 3-0, hosted in River Plate's stadium.
That goal was the first of a total of 42 that Sergio has scored for the national team – standing as the third top scorer behind Gabriel Batistuta's 56 and Leo Messi's reigning 73.
