The Kings League now welcomes Queens League – a new 7-a-side football tournament. Sergio's Kunisports has thrown his hat on the ring with a new all-female team: introducing Kunitas. Morena Beltran, the Argentinean ESPN sports host, has been selected to lead the freshly-minted squad.
Following the success of its masculine counterpart, the Queens League will follow a similar format and share the same roster of teams. The main difference will be a redraw of the presidents leading each club – now welcoming many more women as chairs.
Just like the Kings League, the Queens League will be streamed directly through Twitch. Drafts and tryouts to select players will commence in April. Starting on May 6th, official play will begin, with games playing each Saturday.
A playoff series will take place after the regular season, with matches programmed for July 22nd and 29th, 2023.
