"There's no sadness in my heart, only gratitude"

That's the message Sergio shared on social media this October 30th – the same date that, two years ago, saw him suffer an arrhythmic episode during the Barcelona-Alaves game, and lead him to retiring from professional football.

Kun remembered that "difficult and painful" day, and declared candidly that his heart had no sadness, only gratitude for everything life and football had given him. This was his message:

"It's been two years since that difficult and painful day. There's no sadness in my heart, only gratitude for the life I've lived, and for everything football has given me. Then, I had to tell myself that life went on, that there was a lot in store for me still. And so it was. I'm very happy for all the projects I've kicked off since then, and many more to come. Thank you all for the support."
