Sergio has taken on to Twitch and Twitter to describe how he has taken on his first months of retirement, and to share some of his thoughts, quirks, and interests. He took on topics from capital tax to Manchester City's chances on the Champion's League. Sergio also reminisced about Vicente Calderon stadium and chose Phil Foden as his favourite active football player.

On his friendship with Messi:

"We made the most of our time together as we didn't see each other that often. We rarely got mad at one another – just when we lost, because we did want to win."

On his health:

"The other day I ran on the treadmill and played some football-tennis, and I am gasping for air. It's so weird. I keep thinking, 'will I be able to sprint at the very least?' It's a scary thing. I start sprinting, and it feels like my eyes are about to burst out of my head. That being said, it's been a while since I ran. My heart revs up full throttle, so I don't feel like jogging. I'd rather sit put, stream, call it a day."

On capital tax:

"What doesn't click with me is that [in Argentina and Spain] there's an annual tax on a percentage of your total assets. I think that's crazy, however you look at it. There are a bunch of countries that impose an income tax, so why should they keep taking your money? If you've been profitable, and you've been taxed on that income, what's the logic behind taxing those assets again?"

Favourite goal in La Liga:

"I'd choose my last goal on Madrid. We lost, but I had no idea what would happen afterwards. It'll always be special to me."

Bayern Munich's interest on him when he was 17 years old:

"They scouted me on a game against Estudiantes de La Plata. I was a mess that day, and they loved Jose Sosa. That's who they bought."

The trophy he celebrated the most: Copa America.

Toughest defenders that he's taken on: Terry, Van Dijk, Sergio Ramos, Puyol and Ferdinand.

Favourite movie: Gladiator.

Favourite rock band: Creedence Clearwater Revival.

Favourite Dragon Ball characters: Goku and Krillin.
