With these words, Sergio closed the announcement that he will be off the field for the next three months, as the effectiveness of treatment procedures is evaluated to advance towards recovery.

It all began last Saturday in the match before Alaves, when Kun had to go back into the bench due to pain in his torax. Sergio was taken to a hospital, and, this Monday, the cardiological staff ran exams on the striker. After receiving results, Barcelona FC issued a statement revealing that "Kun Agüero had undergone a diagnostic and treatment procedure by Dr Josep Brugada. Kun will be out for the next three months to monitor the effectiveness of the treatment to determine the pathway to recovery."

Sergio himself took to social networks to thank the people for the enormous outpouring of support he received: "I'm doing well and very eager to take on the recovery process. I want to thank you all for sending so many messages of support and affection – they make my heart grow stronger today."
